Solomon is considered to be the wisest person who ever lived. God gave him so much wisdom that He learned so many things in his life. Most of them he learned and realized the hard way. If there’s anything he learned that could probably be one of the most important things he has realized in his life, it can be summarized in this verse:
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1
This one, he got right. Through God’s wisdom, he saw and learned that this life is lived through seasons. God made our lives in terms of seasons. Isn’t that right? Solomon was spot on.
There was a time when something in your life was a season but now it has changed.
There was a season when you can still go out and play as a kid. There was a season when it was your first time to go to school. There was a season when school has to be over and after many years of lessons and homework, you have to graduate. Remember that season when it was time for you to find a job? It was exciting, right?
There’s a season for college reunions. There’s a season for wedding invitations. There’s even a season for your own wedding reception. There’s a definitely a season for funeral invitations and somehow it lets you see how time can be so fast and short.
There’s a season for everything. Here are some of things that I want you to learn about seasons in your life that can help you through this one that you’re in.
1. Every season has a purpose.
Your season right now has a purpose. The season that just ended in your life had a purpose, and, hopefully, you learned it. The reason why God wanted you to go through that season is because He has a purpose for it and it’s up to you to know and seek the reason behind it. The reason why you find it hard to go through a season in your life is probably because you have never found the purpose for it.
2. Every season is temporary.
Enjoy and joyfully endure your season right now because it won’t last forever. As much as possible, learn from it. You’ll be thankful after you’ve maximized it. Stop wasting time trying to complain and wishing you had a different season because that won’t do anything good. Here’s a truth: you can’t control your season but you can always be fruitful in it.
You can’t control your season but you can always be fruitful in it.
3. Every season has its own beauty.
If you keep on focusing on what you don’t have, soon enough, you will miss the precious thing that you do have. The reason why your season is beautiful is because God is present in every season. That’s the only thing that makes it beautiful. No matter how hard of a season it is, find God in it and He’ll show you the beauty that is in its midst. Every season is a time to grow and a time to trust God in every way. Seasons may change but the faithfulness of God remains the same.
Seasons may change but the faithfulness of God remains the same.
